Happy Birthday, Andrew!

This kid must be spoiled or something, because it seems that every year he gets 3 birthday parties. As it happens, we are usually in Utah on his Birthday, so he has a friend party in AZ, a party with the Boleys and then celebrations with my family as well.

Andrew's favorite place to eat is Golden Corral. Funny, huh?! Well, it's a bit pricey in my book, so we don't go there very often. But I gave Andrew the option of only inviting his two best friends (Aaron and Nic) if he wanted to go to Golden Corral and a movie. I figure the cost would be about the same as if we were to throw a party for lots of kids. And that is the option he chose. So, Andrew, Aaron, Nic, Barik, Cooper, Drake, Paul and I were off to Golden Corral.

I brought Drake home after dinner and put him to bed while Paul took the rest of the boys to see Avatar, Air Bender. It was a hit. The boys all came back for Mint Chocolate Brownies (one of Andrew's faves) and a sleep over. Nic got a little homesick, so it was just Andrew and Aaron for the sleep over.

Birthday morning was spent at my Mom and Dad's house with the obligatory "A" pancake and gifts. Then it was off to the Boley's. Aunt Michelle invited Andrew to go to the Children's Museum with her, Marc, Trey and Conner. She returned him safe and sound to us and we whisked him back to my parents for his requested birthday meal of Salmon with Chocolate Bundt cake for dessert.

There are so many things that I love and appreciate about Andrew. He is very responsible and reliable. He is usually the first one awake and gets a bit grumpy if/when someone is awake before him (he's always needed a bit of time to warm up to being awake). He's dressed and has his bed made long before I ever roll out of bed. He loves wrestling with his Dad and brothers (and Mom, when she will join in the crazy fun). He LOVES his "July brother" Drake, and takes really good care of him. He has some "sick" double joints and gets a kick out of grossing me out with them. He LOVES computer games. He's a great swimmer, drawer, guitar player and runner. He sleep walks when he's really tired. He gets a big kick out of hearing the crazy things he did/said while he was sleep walking.
